Nature’s Jewels

This painting is rich with symbolism. The blue tit represents joy, the tulips mean ‘I declare my love for you’, and the heather is for luck and protection.

This painting was inspired by Dutch flower paintings during the Goldern Age, when flowers were considered ‘nature’s jewels’.

I also consider the blue tit to be one of nature’s jewels - bright, beautiful and full of life.
