Child Portrait with Wings
An original oil painting on canvas covered board, 40cm x 50cm
This beautiful little girl was a delight of a commission, where I was asked to ‘do something a bit different’ for a portrait.
Her character and this pose reminded me of the cheeky confidence and nonchalance of Raphael’s angels, so I gave her her own wings to join the timeless tribe of putti (winged infants or cherubs in art).
